The Home Depot®, Atlanta, announced several organizational changes in August. Tom Taylor, a 22-year company veteran, was named executive vice president/merchandising and marketing, succeeding John Costello, who left the company to pursue other business opportunities. Carl Liebert, senior vice president/operations, has taken over Taylor's previous position as executive vice president of Home Depot Stores. Joe DeAngelo, president of The Home Depot Supply, was promoted to executive vice president and Marvin Ellison, vice president/logistics, is now senior vice president/logistics. Bill Patterson, president of The Home Depot Asia, is retiring and will return to the United States to address some pressing family issues. Chuck Elias, vice president/operations in China, will serve as acting head of The Home Depot Asia until a permanent replacement is named.
