On June 10th the Midwest Distributors Association sponsored its third successful presentation of Essentials of Profitable PHCP Distribution. Despite a destructive series of spring thunderstorms, the seminar kicked off on schedule. John Carroll, President of U-Perform.Com and a frequent presenter at the University of Industrial Distribution and ASA Convention, led the group of 30 branch managers, outside sales and inside sales professionals through the text, group discussions and profit building exercises.

A month earlier, on May 6, 38 MDA members in the St Louis, MO area participated in the Essentials program presented by Dr. Kathy Newton of Purdue University. “The MDA members have been uniformly enthusiastic about the way this program opens the eyes of the distributors' employees to their role in controlling costs and increasing profits,” says Cathie Fournier, MDA's Executive Director. “This program has generated more participation and excitement than any program we have ever offered. We are already planning for some new locations in 2005.”
