Refron's advertising tagline, “Any Refrigerant, Any Place, Any Time®,” was proven at the AHR trade show in Anaheim, Calif., the company said. Another exhibitor, Tasco Japan, approached Refron to purchase refrigerant gases because it was unable to import various refrigerants into the United States due to patent issues and government import restrictions resulting from the Montreal Protocol agreement. Tasco needed these refrigerants to demonstrate its refrigerant analyzing equipment. After proper certification and paperwork had been obtained, Refron delivered cylinders of R-22 and R-407C to the show from a local facility.
