Agilisys Inc. announced it acquired NxTrend, a provider of enterprise commerce management software. Agilisys supplies enterprise software to manufacturing and wholesale distribution companies around the world and has locations in 20 countries. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

NxTrend's products offer assistance in inventory management, order processing, sales, customer service, warehouse logistics and electronic commerce. Agilisys said in a statement it intends to expand its presence in the distribution software market with this purchase.

The newly combined entity will have more than 1,500 employees, 7,500 customers, presence in 31 countries and revenue approaching $300 million, reported Agilisys.
