ImproveNet recently introduced a Project Performance Guarantee on all home-improvement projects awarded through its site to its network of contractors.

The Project Performance Guarantee is a promise to homeowners that ImproveNet projects will be completed to the contract specifications of the job. In order to qualify for the guarantee, homeowners are required to submit a copy of their signed contract to ImproveNet within a few days of signing. ImproveNet verifies that the contract is with an approved member professional, and contains a description of the scope of the work, total contract amount, payment schedule, estimated start and completion dates, and the signatures of the homeowner and contractor.
