Wolseley plc (London) has announced plans to merge the operations of Ferguson Enterprises, Familian Northwest and Westburne USA, following a strategic review of the group's businesses by Charles Banks, group CEO of the parent company. The three companies are being combined into one single operation in a process that began Aug. 1 and is expected to take two years to complete, resulting in increasing synergies and cost savings over this period, the company said in a financial report posted on its Web site.
