>> PMI: The Plumbing Manufacturers Institute will hold its 2003 fall meeting at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. Oct. 26 to 29. Presentations will discuss how to maximize sales force effectiveness, "Made in the USA" labeling issues, "Country of Origin" labeling, and accessibility regulations and issues. Also, PMI's state and federal legislative initiatives will be discussed, its codes and standards issues will be reviewed and its officers and directors will be elected. On Oct. 29 PMI is to sign a "memorandum of understanding" between itself and the Department of Commerce to continue a close working relationship on issues that impact the plumbing industry.
