From Reporting to Serving

A new role means new opportunities to serve PHCH-PVF distributors.

April 10, 2026

In mid-March, I marked six years as Chief Editor of Supply House Times.March 16, to be exact. I’ll never forget my first day on the job in 2020. Headlines from that day included: “White House issues ‘15 Days to Slow the Spread’ guidelines,” “Stock market plunges in historic crash,” “Bars, restaurants, and public venues ordered to close,” and “First major U.S. ‘shelter-in-place’ orders emerge.”

It was an interesting week to take on a new job, to say the least. The first article I worked on was: “White House identifies plumbers as ‘essential critical infrastructure workers’ in Guidance for Response to COVID-19.” The pandemic was just the beginning; I don’t have to tell you all how pivotal the post-COVID years have been for the PHCP-PVF supply chain.

I can’t even quantify how much I have learned over the past six years: A lot about PHCP-PVF systems, even more about wholesale-distribution, and most of all, about the importance of authentic relationships, particularly how they are the backbone of successful businesses in our industry. I’ve seen the latter on full display time and time again at every industry event I’ve had the chance to attend.

After taking the reins of Supply House Times, it didn’t take long to realize that, regardless of where my career led, I wanted to stay rooted in the PHCP-PVF supply chain. That being said, I am excited to step into a position that’s even more immersed in the day-to-day lives of distributors, a role with the American Supply Association (ASA), Supply House Times’ longtime partner.

By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be on my way to ASA’s headquarters to hit the ground running on this new journey. I could not be more excited for the opportunity to work for the association I have been fortunate to partner with and admire throughout my time at BNP Media. I truly believe that ASA helps distributors do their jobs better, and I am thrilled to be joining that mission.

I am endlessly thankful for the years I have spent reporting on and writing about this industry. It’s because of my role as an editor that I have forged the connections I have while simultaneously gaining the utmost respect for the distributors, manufacturers, reps and contractors that build the essential water infrastructure that keeps our country running.

Each interview, conversation, and event has been a learning opportunity that I don’t take for granted.

While I’m not sure who your new Chief Editor will be, I can confidently say that there is a strong, dynamic editorial and publishing team that will continue to report the news and trends that matter to you. BNP Media, now in its 100th year, restructured its Mechanical Systems, Distribution and Restoration group — which includes The ACHR NEWS, PMCxE, Supply House Times, and Restoration & Remediation — earlier this year. The group is led by Sarah Harding, group publisher, who has more than 25 years of experience leading mechanical systems industry publications. Kyle Gargaro, editorial director, who’s been with The ACHR NEWS since 2004, also has his hand in leading the editorial direction of Supply House Times moving forward.

In addition, Kristen Bayles, associate editor, who joined BNP Media in early 2025 to work on editorial for Plumbing & Mechanical (PMCxE) and Supply House Times, is a wonderful point of contact for all things news and editorial. I will miss working with all of you and am excited to see how you continue to evolve and grow these top-notch trade media outlets.

Thank you to all who have contributed, participated in roundtables, interviews, and Q&A’s with me over the years. And an even bigger thank you for the warm welcome you gave me six years ago when I was nearly brand new to this industry; each interview, conversation, and event has been a learning opportunity that I don’t take for granted.

While this chapter in journalism comes to a close, a new chapter of industry engagement, commitment, and impact is just beginning.
