Will Pritchett

AGE: 26

COMPANY: Hajoca, Wilmington

TITLE: Sales and operations consultant

How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?

Informally, I’ve been around the industry my entire life. From weekend trips to the warehouse with my father as a toddler to working summers throughout high school, I truly grew up in plumbing distribution. Formally, I began my full-time career in the industry after graduating from Towson University in 2021.

What drew you into the industry?

My greatest inspiration has been my father, Bill Pritchett. Growing up, I watched him build a successful career through hard work, perseverance, and integrity. He’s the hardest worker I know and the embodiment of “you reap what you sow.” Seeing firsthand how rewarding this career has been for him made it a natural path for me to follow.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?

For me, the relationships are the most rewarding part. Whether it’s my internal teammates, plumbers in the field, or our manufacturer reps, I’ve had the privilege of building connections with incredible people who have left a lasting impact on my life both personally and professionally.

What motivates you every day?

I’m motivated by the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s day. That could mean sourcing materials for a critical job, helping design a customer’s dream kitchen or bathroom, or simply being a friendly face at the counter. Every day brings countless chances to help others, and that’s what keeps me energized.

What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?

I wish more people understood how essential this industry is to everyday life. Plumbing, heating, cooling, and piping aren’t just “behind-the-scenes” trades — they are vital to health, safety, and comfort in every home and business. The PHCP-PVF industry thrives on innovation, problem-solving, and service, and it offers incredible opportunities for people to build meaningful, rewarding careers.

What has been your proudest moment in your career so far?

The proudest moment in my career so far has been helping launch Hajoca’s newest location in Wilmington, NC from the ground up. Being part of building a business from its earliest stages, from an empty warehouse to a thriving branch serving contractors and the community, has been a humbling and rewarding experience. Seeing customers walk through the door knowing we’ve built something that makes their jobs easier and their lives better is something I’ll always be proud of.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

Before beginning my full-time career in plumbing distribution, I spent six years in the restaurant industry. From bartending to managing busy shifts, I learned how to multitask, adapt quickly, and connect with people from all walks of life — skills that continue to serve me every day in sales, operations, and relationship building.
