Ferguson recently announced a pair of acquisitions, including Margate, Florida-based Action Plumbing Supply, a member of the Embassy buying group.

Action is a supplier of commercial products and a key industrial PVF distributor in southeast Florida. In business since 1978, the company has two locations in Margate and Lake Worth, Florida.

The company will rebrand as Action Plumbing Supply, a Ferguson enterprise.

“The acquisition of Action Plumbing Supply will allow us to better serve West Palm customers and enhance our reach and competitiveness in the commercial market,” Ferguson CEO Kevin Murphy said.

Ferguson also acquired Innovative Soil Solutions. Founded in 2012, Innovative provides erosion-control solutions and geosynthetics throughout Texas. The company operates in Arlington, Austin and San Antonio, Texas.

“Innovative Soil Solutions complements our traditional waterworks business and is a natural expansion of our business,” Murphy said. “Through our expanded product offering, we will offer capabilities in geotextiles and erosion-control solutions in Texas.”
