Over the last few months there has been talk of PVC increases, however they have failed to take hold. Seasonal demand is soft with strong supply. There has been little change in pricing since October with prices decreasing slightly over this time. Talks of resin increases appear to be overstated and more of the need for price increases appears to be driven by increased freight costs. Some manufacturers have resorted to increasing the minimum freight allowance rather than increasing prices. Any major disruptions in the price of oil and natural gas could be a factor going forward.
