Brasscraft Mfg. Co., manufacturer of plumbing products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Assante as president, effective immediately.

Assante comes to Brasscraft Mfg. Co. as a 17-year veteran from one of its sister companies — Delta Faucet Company — where he held a variety of positions, most recently chief information officer. During his five years in this role, he led the cultural transformation of the information services department and successful implementation of SAP.

As director of strategic marketing, Assante also led Delta’s entry into e-business and product information management and the development and execution of a strategy to integrate one of Masco’s former business units, Masco Bath, into Delta Faucet Company, which eventually led to significant improvement in operating profit. Assante has also held positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing and supply chain.

“I am very confident in Tom’s ability to lead the Brasscraft team,” said Richard O’Reagan, Masco Corp. group president, global plumbing. “In addition to his breadth of experience and demonstrated ability to deliver results, he has proven himself to be a great leader of people.”

Assante is a graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.

“I am incredibly honored to join Brasscraft Mfg. Co. and to help lead the company into the future,” Assante said. “With the company’s impressive track record and its legacy of a diverse, market-leading and best-in-class product portfolio, I look forward to tackling the many exciting opportunities and challenges of todays’ market.”
