Edison, New Jersey-based General Plumbing Supply recently announced it has signed an agreement with Johnson Controls to become a distributor of its Luxaire and Guardian brands of products and Source 1 parts throughout the mid-Atlantic region, effective this month.

One of the largest independent plumbing, electrical and HVAC distributors on the East Coast serving New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, General Plumbing Supply operates 16 locations and employs more than 350 people.

General Plumbing Supply has been a leading resource to contractors for top-of-the-line plumbing, heating, HVAC and industrial supplies for more than 100 years, Johnson Controls explained. Today, GPS offers hundreds of thousands of products to its customers and the inventory to support them at each of its locations. Its strong commitment to customer service includes a friendly, knowledgeable staff and a fleet of 60 trucks supplying contractors what they need to get the job done, Johnson Controls added.
