APR Supply converts to solar power

Solar panels are expected to fully power APR Supply’s distribution

December 28, 2017

After months of research and preparation, Lebanon, Pennsylvania-based APR Supply Co. Logistics and Distribution Center Manager Dustin Hollinger activated the company’s new solar-power system that was installed this past summer.

The panels cover the entire roof of APR Supply Co.’s building located at 749 W. Guilford St., in Lebanon. The solar panels are expected to fully power the 270,000-square-foot building that houses both the distribution center and the corporate offices. In fact, enough power will be generated that the company hopes to sell power back to Met Ed, APR noted.

“The solar project allows APR to hedge against rising utility costs while at the same time reducing our carbon footprint”, stated Zach Derr, chief financial officer for APR. “It is a win-win for the company and the environment.”

Headquartered in Lebanon, APR Supply Co. is a full-service distributor of plumbing, HVAC and hydronic supplies – at 38 Locations throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware.
