AD announced that its member-owners have elected two new directors and reelected one director to its 2021 LLC board of directors. More than 120 of AD’s 850 member companies provide leadership on corporate and divisional boards and committees.
AD announced it has completed mergers with SafetyNetwork and Delta Distributors, the group’s 11th and 12th mergers since it started in 1981 and its fourth and fifth in the last two years. Both mergers were effective Jan. 1, 2021.
AD hosted its Decorative Brands Division 2020 virtual annual meeting, the last of AD’s seven fall meetings that shifted to virtual, from Nov. 17 – 19, 2020. During the meeting, a record-breaking 175 attendees from 66 members and suppliers gathered virtually to network and invest in valuable relationships.
AD’s Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Piping Business Unit hosted its second virtual fall meeting from Oct. 19-22, welcoming a record- breaking 1,090 independent distributor members and supplier partners from its U.S.-based Plumbing, Pipe, Valves and Fittings, and HVAC Divisions to the 2020 virtual North American meeting.
Calling on strengths like adaptability, innovation, independence and leadership, the AD community is seeing signs of stabilization and recovery as it reports 2020 nine-month results.
As the first in a slate of virtual fall meetings, AD’s Canada Plumbing & Heating Division hosted over 235 independent distributor members and supplier partners at its first-ever virtual supplier conference.
AD announced its new Canada warehouse and meeting center, located in the greater Toronto area, is officially open for business. The new facility provides Canada-based AD members with redistribution of over 75 product lines of industrial, safety and janitorial items, including private-label brand Tuff Grade.
AD announced its Senior Vice President of Human Resources Neil Cohen has won the HR Person of the Year Award for medium sized companies in the greater Philadelphia region. The award recognizes HR professionals who exemplify outstanding achievement.
