Our relevancy is not guaranteed. When you think of what happened to powerhouse businesses such as Kodak, Blockbuster, Sears, Toys R Us, BlackBerry, RadioShack, Nokia and others … it is a cold sense of reality that our business model of the past is no guarantee of relevance and profitability tomorrow.

ASA held its annual conference, NETWORK on Sept. 25-27,  2019 in Washington, D.C. NETWORK continues to be a very important opportunity for the industry to connect and conduct business as year-end nears and firms are closing in on their annual financial targets.

For more than a decade, ASA has steadily expanded the value of the national association through creating a vision of success and allocating resources to move ASA and its members forward toward an envisioned future.

In September at NETWORK, ASA’s annual conference held this year in Washington, D.C., we celebrated 50 years of our association leading our industry.

Back in 1991, Bill Glockner was hitting it hot and heavy in the consulting business. “I was flying all over the place and my wife, Susan, was a physician,” he says.

American Supply Association members made the most out of their recent visit to Washington, D.C. During the final day of NETWORK2019, which celebrated ASA’s 50th anniversary, volunteer association leaders and staff members went to the White House to sign the Pledge to America’s Workers initiative.
