Joining Plumbing Manufacturers International at the start of 2022, Uponor North America is set to work alongside other PMI members to meet challenges relating to labor, supply chain, sustainability and more.

After 56 years of significant expansion and growth, the Abeling family has transitioned 100% of the company’s total ownership to all the employees of the company through a qualified retirement plan known as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (or ESOP). All eligible employees will be granted shares of Company stock each year, at no cost, allowing them to earn ownership over time through their service to the company and accumulate tax-deferred retirement wealth. Consumers Pipe & Supply Co. joins a group of elite 100% employee-owned companies across the U.S.  

In October, Coburn’s honored General Manager Bill Geyser who retired after 46 years of service with the company. With Bill's retirement and with the continued growth of Coburn's, the company has made changes to its personnel and leadership in the Southwest Louisiana and Texas markets, taking effect immediately.

The Gustave A. Larson Co. announced it closed on the purchase of Progress Supply, Inc. (PSI), on December 17, 2021. Progress Supply is a long-time established and successful multi-location HVAC and Refrigeration distribution company in central and southwestern Ohio, southeast Indiana and northern Kentucky.

Founded in 1922 as Lebanon Plumbing Supply, APR Supply Co. is now guided by third generation owner, President and CEO Scott Weaver. Since its inception, APR Supply Co. has grown from a single location to 39 branches and 9 Oasis Kitchen and Bath Showrooms throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Marcone, a residential appliance parts distributor and portfolio company of Genstar Capital, announced it has acquired Professional Plumbing Group (PPG), a distributor of plumbing products for repair and remodel applications. PPG designs, manufactures, markets and distributes plumbing products. PPG’s portfolio includes products from two proprietary brands — Wolverine Brass and Speakman — as well as third-party products across all of the leading brands.

Each year, ASA members compete for the award by submitting an application and their prior year’s incident rate (300A form). Thank you to all those that participated in the ASA Safety Award competition, and to all those who help form ASA's safety culture and education through volunteerism, and support through such efforts as its Safety Recognition Program.

Winsupply has completed the purchase of both H2O Supply locations" One in Dallas, Texas and one in Fort Worth, Texas.

The annual competition among Heating Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) members recovered 239 pounds of mercury from 70 member companies, increasing more than 16 pounds from last year, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, more than 380 branch locations returned collection bins during the contest period, from May 1 to October 31.

Congressman Smucker toured the new distribution facility and was one of the first to see APR’s latest implementation of warehouse automation. While on site, Congressman Smucker took time to address the APR warehouse 1^st shift teammates, along with the corporate and leadership teams.
