recently released studies, one by the New Buildings Institute and one by CoStar
Group, have validated what the green building community has known all along:
third-party-certified buildings outperform their conventional counterparts
across a wide variety of metrics.
As part of its 125th anniversary, the
Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors – National Association will hold a
National Plumbing Industry Week rally May 1, 2008, in Washington, D.C.
In early March, the Raleigh City Council approved a ban on
installing any new and replacement garbage disposal units as a way to reduce
sewage overflows. The
ordinance does not prohibit selling disposers.
