March 31, 2008 ― HD Supply Waterworks Buys Fire Protection Fabricator
HD Supply Waterworks, an HD Supply business that distributes a complete line of water, sewer, fire protection and storm drain products, announced it has finalized the purchase of Lodi, Calif.-based D&M Fabrication Inc. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
D&M Fabrication specializes in fabricating fire protection systems for distributors and contractors who design, sell and/or install systems for end users. It has been a partner of HD Supply Waterworks for nearly a decade.
HD Supply Waterworks Regional Vice President Chuck Reed announced that the acquisition further strengthens HD Supply Waterworks' market-leading position in an important region with strong market growth trends.
D&M Fabrication currently operates a warehouse facility in Northern California. The business will be fully integrated into the HD Supply Waterworks business and will begin operating under the HD Supply Fire Protection brand continuing to provide fabrication services to existing customers.
