Each year the NKBA recognizes the year’s most exceptional kitchen and bath designs. This year’s competition includes more than $60,000 in cash prizes and winners will also be featured in an issue of Luxe Interior + Design magazine, as well as Kitchen & Bath Business magazine, the official publication of the NKBA.
If there is some good news in the age of coronavirus, research from the Healthy Hand Washing Survey shows that during the past 11 years an increasing number of Americans are heeding the message about washing their hands to protect themselves from flu outbreaks.

Elkay was founded in Chicago in 1920 by Chairman of the Board of Directors Ron Katz’s grandfather, Leopold Katz, a carpenter by trade, and Ellef Robarth, a tinsmith. They met while working for Litterer Brothers Mfg. Co., a company that supplied sinks. Together they founded Elkay (a mashup of their two names), bringing together their different experiences.
Students say unclean restrooms impact their perception of school.

As a new school year begins, a survey of 9th to 12th graders reveals that unclean school restrooms cause them to have a negative perception of their institution and its leaders.
The design and construction show takes place Jan. 21-23, 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Expo registration is free for National Kitchen & Bath Association members in August.
