Launched in November, Bradford White’s For the Pro Training Academy enhances the company’s exclusive For the Pro suite of online resources with premium self-paced eLearning options.
Navien has started shipping the new PeakFlow A scale prevention system. The PeakFlow A was first announced in November 2021, as part of an improved lineup of water treatment products alongside the PeakFlow S and PeakFlow C.
Rheem announced the retirement of John Fitzgerald from his role as executive vice president of operations. “Fitz” joined Rheem in 2016 and brought more than 30 years of diverse experience from several industries. Fitz led many different teams and functions throughout his career at Rheem. His vision and leadership in Brand Strategy, Enterprise Marketing and Sports Marketing had a significant impact on Rheem’s brand awareness. He also oversaw business-critical functions including IT, Advanced Technology Integration, Controls Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and Corporate Quality.
Rheem has acquired DEJONG, an independent manufacturer and supplier of stainless-steel hot water tanks, from Nordian Capital. Founded in 1859 and based in Gorredijk, the Netherlands, DEJONG produces hot water tanks for multiple applications including solar, heat pump and boiler configurations
Water heater manufacturer Rinnai America Corp. has been working for the last three years with a state department of corrections to upgrade the water heating systems in five prison facilities. This initiative, Jason Tuttle, Rinnai America’s commercial business manager for the North Central region, notes, had a goal to increase the facility’s overall efficiencies.
Navien has introduced three new chemical-free and environmentally friendly products to refresh their PeakFlow lineup of scale prevention solutions. The three models, PeakFlow S, PeakFlow A and PeakFlow C, expand the options made available by Navien to now include point-of-entry and commercial grade scale prevention.
Rinnai America announced its soon-to-be-completed North American facility located in Griffin, Georgia. Rinnai is investing in product development for tankless water heaters, boilers, wall furnaces and more on US soil. Alongside business development, Rinnai will also play a role in the local economy by fulfilling 150 positions by early 2022.

GE Appliances Air & Water Solutions carries a line of electric tank and tankless water heaters, with plans for the introduction of a gas line early next year. Supply House Times recently caught up with Jim Skaggs, vice president of sales for GE Appliances Air & Water Solutions.
A family-owned business founded in 1945, Giant markets its water heaters under the Giant brand and employs more than 300 people, primarily in Canada. Giant manufactures water heaters at two facilities in Montreal and sells water heating products across Canada. The addition of Giant to A. O. Smith’s existing water heater operations enlarges the company’s presence in the Canada water heater market, which is characterized by a high percentage of replacement demand.
