Rheem hybrid electric water heater
The Rheem Prestige series hybrid electric heat pump water heater complies with increased national energy efficiency requirements (per the U.S. DOE and NAECA) taking effect in April 2015. Rating a 2.45 EF — more than twice the efficiency of a standard electric water heater — this 50-gal. model costs less than 60¢ a day to operate. Features include a full-color, back-lit, touchscreen that provides homeowner service alerts, as well as detailed diagnostic information for the contractor. It also is compatible with the new Rheem EcoNet app, which is available on Apple iTunes or Google Play stores.
