Bayport, N.Y.-based Blackman Plumbing Supply recently announced its president and COO Robert Mannheimer was elected as Chairman of the Board for the plumbing and heating supplier.

Mannheimer, who has been Blackman’s president and COO since 2008, succeeds Richard Blackman as chairman. He will work with the board of directors to make sure Blackman hold its place as a premier industry leader.

“Blackman is fortunate to have an exceptional Board of Directors in place comprised of some of the best industry leaders and professionals in the Metropolitan New York area. I am honored to have been elected by this group as Chairman,” said Mannheimer. “Richard Blackman’s great accomplishments and dedication will inspire me and guide me as I work with our board to strategically position the Blackman brand for continued growth.”

Mannheimer has more than 20 years of experience at Blackman. Before coming to the company he was vice president of Finance at Harmon Kardon/JBL.
