WinWholesale and American Standard have joined forces to create ‘Splash!’, a water conservation exhibit at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in Dayton, Ohio. The interactive exhibit was designed to teach children the importance of saving water, as well as, the earth’s water cycle, a person’s impact on water access and quality and careers dealing with water issues.

WinWholesale is based in Dayton and reached out for American Standard’s help in creating the exhibit for children. “We were pleased the Boonshoft Museum asked WinWholesale to become involved in the water conservation exhibit in our hometown,” WinWholesale CEO and chairman Rick Schwartz said. “We knew we could count on American Standard Brands, one of our most important product suppliers, to help with the display.”

Familiar plumbing fixtures allow exhibit visitors see how individual actions impact water resources such as aquifers, rivers and lakes. American Standard donated bathroom faucets from its Town Square, Berwick, Studio, Copeland and Portsmouth collections and a semi-professional kitchen faucet from Pekoe collection.

“The goals of this new exhibit perfectly complement our own efforts to promote the importance of water efficiency in homes and in the workplace,” said Jay Gould, president and CEO of American Standard Brands. “Increasing awareness about how our individual choices affect and improve water quality is an important mission for American Standard.”
