Honor will be presented at NetworkASA 2011.

Nick Giuffre


The ASA Executive Committee is pleased to announce thatNick Giuffre, president and CEO of Bradford White Corp., has been selected to receive the honor of the Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award. The honor will be presented during the ASA Annual Meeting and Member Lunch at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 14, as part of the ASA’s Annual Convention,NetworkASA 2011, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Bradford White became Giuffre’s first employer shortly after his graduation from college. His career started in the service department and eventually led him to roles as national service manager and national warranty administrator. Soon after, he was promoted and moved to inside sales. This move launched a very successful sales career.

During the next five years he was sales administrator, pricing administrator and assistant to the vice president of sales. His business acumen quickly launched him into several leadership roles within the company. In 1997, he was promoted to vice president of sales, won the coveted AIM/R Golden Eagle Award and in 2003 he was named executive vice president. In August 2008, he was named president and chief operating officer, and soon after he became president and CEO.

“Nick Giuffre has been actively giving back to our industry for over 30 years,” ASA Executive Vice President Mike Adelizzi said. “He is always one of the first to volunteer, even before he is asked. He has been involved in many of ASA’s committees and task forces over the years, and currently serves as chairman of the ASA Education Foundation Endowment Fund Investment Committee as well as being a member of both our Vendor Member Division and Plumbing Division Executive Councils.”

In addition to having a strong involvement with ASA, Giuffre is also a longtime supporter of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors, having been active with both the Pennsylvania state organization and national organization for the majority of his career. 

The Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award honors an individual’s contributions to, and achievements in, the PHCP/PVF industry. It is named for its first recipient, Fred V. Keenan of Keenan Supply/Hajoca Corp. Past recipients include Karl Neupert, Ed Felten, John McDonald III, John Martin and Frank Finkel. Criteria for the award include a career of service in the PHCP/PVF industry, personal influence on the current status of the channel, a history of dedicated service to ASA and the ASA Education Foundation, projection of a positive industry image and a positive effect on the industry in general. This award is not an annual award but is given at the discretion of the ASA’s Executive Committee, which regularly reviews nominations made from within the PHCP/PVF industry.
