Thomas A. McDermott Sr., 77, chairman of A.I. McDermott Co., Oshkosh, WI, died July 17. After serving as a Marine Corps officer, he joined A.I. McDermott in 1956 where he advanced to president and chairman. He expanded the company into plumbing and heating; added five Wisconsin locations; and introduced PlumbEasy (a DIY store marketing program).
