Wheat Ridge, CO-based George T. Sanders Co. teamed up with Bender Plumbing andHomes For Our Troopsto help build an accessible home for Staff Sergeant John P. Jones, who lost both of his legs below the knee while serving in Iraq. Mansfield Plumbing (Swirl-Way) and Dalcart; Buche Carmco Sales and Bradford-White; Canplas, Gerber Fixtures and Ben Cook and Associates; Moen; Brasscraft, Apollo, Conbraco, and Marshall Rodeno Associated; American Eagle and Dillon Co.; Uponor and T.M. Sales; IPS, Watco, Watts and InSinkErator were among the vendors and reps who helped.

Mike Irvin, who has been with George T. Sanders Co. for 34 years and currently serves as Fort Collins branch manager, initiated and coordinated the project with help from Bender Plumbing, Homes For Our Troops and vendors. Material for the new home, being built by Spring Creek Homes in Fort Collins, was supplied at no cost to Jones and his family. By the time the project is completed, 300 to 400 people will have contributed or volunteered in some way.
