Affiliated Distributors (Wayne, PA) presented Spirit of Independence awards to individual affiliates and suppliers in its Plumbing and Pipe, Valves and Fittings divisions who have excelled in marketing, performance and/or leadership during its North American meeting held in October.

The Plumbing division winners included: Best Annual Planning: Murray Supply; Best A-D Exclusive Promotion: Mueller Industries; Best Conversion: Texas Plumbing Supply Co. and Bradford White; Affiliate of the Year - Leadership: Bill Glockner, Hirsch Pipe & Supply Co.; Affiliate of the Year - Performance: Joe Poehling, First Supply;  Supplier of the Year -Leadership: Bradford White; and Supplier of the Year - Performance: Charlotte Pipe & Foundry. The MVP award, which recognizes outstanding effort from the people on the front lines every day who contribute to the overall welfare of their company and the group, was presented by A-D’s CEO Bill Weisberg to Pearl Aguinaldo, Hirsch Pipe & Supply Co.  

The Pipe, Valves and Fittings division award winners were: Best Annual Planning: MKS Pipe and Valve Co.; Best A-D Exclusive Promotion: Apollo Valves; Best Conversion to an A-D Supplier: Cooney Brothers & Spirax Sarco; Affiliate of the Year - Leadership: Kip Miller and Alyn Judkins, Eastern Industrial Supplies; Affiliate of the Year - Performance: All-Tex Pipe & Supply; Supplier of the Year -Leadership: Milwaukee Valve Co.; and Supplier of the Year - Performance: Viega. Peggy Brahier of Piping & Equipment received the MVP award.
