Johnson Controls has been named one of the 40 “Best Companies for Diversity” and among the top 15 for supplier diversity by Black Enterprise magazine, a business and investment publication for African-Americans. The magazine evaluated diversity programs and surveyed 1,000 of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States, as well as 40 global companies with significant U.S. operations, to determine which companies should be so honored. This information will be published in the magazine’s July issue. Johnson Controls purchases more than $1 billion in goods and services from minority- and women-owned firms, according to Charles A. Harvey, vice president, diversity and public affairs. For more information, visit www.johnsoncontrols.com.
