Aug. 14, 2007 - Delta Withdraws From KB Home Pilot Program
Two weeks ago, Delta Faucet Co. sent a letter to
distributors and other members of the industry announcing that it planned to
conduct a pilot program with the Inland Valley division of KB Home in Southern
California in which it would move its product lines through the Penske
Logistics warehouse. According to Delta, KB had entered into an agreement with
Penske to warehouse and supply many of the finished products that KB specifies
and had requested that Delta supply its faucets through the Penske warehouse.
The pilot program was scheduled to begin in September.
Today, Delta confirmed that a decision was made to withdraw from the pilot program:
“Since making the announcement, we have spoken with and
received feedback from our valued trade channel partners from across the
country, including distributors and plumbing contractors.
“After considering this feedback and talking with KB Home,
Delta Faucet Co. has decided to withdraw from the pilot.”
