SSAB Canada Inc., a subsidiary of SSAB Svenskt Stal AB, completed its acquisition of all of the outstanding shares of IPSCO for $160 per share. SSAB is a Swedish-based publicly traded corporation with sales revenues of almost $4.6 billion and operations or offices in over 40 countries with a worldwide sales presence.

In conjunction with the transition, IPSCO announced the appointment of its new senior management team working out of the Division headquarters in Lisle, IL.

John Tulloch has been appointed president of IPSCO Inc., responsible for managing all of the existing IPSCO businesses as a Division of SSAB Svenskt Stal AB. In addition, Tulloch will be executive vice president IPSCO Division of SSAB and a member of SSAB’s Group Management. Tulloch joined IPSCO in 1977 and has had senior positions in both the steel and pipe businesses, most recently as executive vice president, steel and chief commercial officer.

Other key senior managers reporting to John Tulloch include Vicki Avril, senior vice president-tubular. Avril will have the responsibility for all of IPSCO’s tubular business in the U.S. and Canada. This will include both welded and seamless operations inclusive of Koppel Steel and also the Ultra organization. She has been at IPSCO since 2004.

Also, David Britten has been named senior vice president, steel. Britten will have responsibility for IPSCO’s steel business in North America inclusive of the steel mills and coil processing lines. He has been with IPSCO for 22 years, most recently as vice president, corporate development.
