The Plumbing Manufacturers Institute named Shawn Martin its new technical director, effective July 9. He replaced Dave Viola, who took a new position with IAPMO when his contract with PMI ran out at the end of June. Martin has been serving as director of applied technology for the National Association of Home Builders Research Center since 2004 and has a strong background in water efficiency and green building.
