Daniel “Danny” Brightwell, 55, founding partner of Preferred Sales Inc., Hayward, CA, a manufacturers rep firm serving the plumbing and PVF industry, died unexpectedly July 31. He began his career in the waterworks industry with Davids Steinbeck Co. Brightwell and his partner, Brian Woodhams, founded Preferred Sales Inc. in 1985 to serve the wholesale plumbing, waterworks, water systems, commercial and industrial markets in northern California and northwestern Nevada. He served on manufacturers rep councils for GPK Industries, Indiana Seal Co., JCM Industries and Plastic Trends. He was a member of the American Water Works Association, Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors - National Association and the Western Suppliers Association. A memorial fund has been established for two of his sons.
