Kohler's Addition of $100,000 Tops Off Campaign

During a September 28th reception honoring donors to the Karl E. Neupert Endowment Fund, Frank Windsor, Vice President of Sales for the Kohler Company, presented a $100,000 check to the ASA Education Foundation President, Joe Poehling (First Supply Group, Madison, WI). The Kohler donation, its second major contribution to the fund, effectively topped off the $10 million fundraising goal originally set by founders of the campaign.

In a poignant tribute to the man whose vision was responsible for starting the campaign and for whom the fund is now named, the 300+ people in attendance drank a toast to the late Karl E. Neupert.

In his remarks, Poehling cited Karl's influence, persistence and genuine love for this industry, and acknowledged the ongoing support and involvement of Karl's wife, Karolyn Neupert, who picked up the fundraising mantle after her husband passed away suddenly in late 2002.

In addition to thanking Karolyn Neupert, Poehling recognized the members of the Campaign Advisory Board and others who had spent considerable time and effort themselves to help build the fund to the level it now enjoys.

In closing, Poehling said: “Let me remind you. Although we have reached our $10 million goal, this is not the end - but rather only the beginning. You must realize that in building this fund, we have not only taken a giant step in securing our own future success, but we've also built something that will serve the generations to come.”
