Globe Union’s Gerber Plumbing Products LLC and Danze have moved into a 280,000-sq.-ft. building in Woodridge, IL, that was gutted, expanded and renovated. The facility includes office space, a distribution center, warehouse space, showrooms for each manufacturer’s products and a training center.

Manufacturers’ warranties are supported from this facility and both companies distribute their products from this location, except for Gerber’s vitreous china, which is distributed from Kokomo, IN. Gerber and Danze have different customers served by separate sales forces.

The warehouse is paperless and further automation is planned, according to Keith Yurko, vice president/operations.

The building also houses Globe Union Services, which provides private label products.

The new headquarters is a milestone for Gerber, allowing the company to “embrace its past as it accelerates into the future,” said Ila Lewis, Gerber’s chairman. A wall within the building details Gerber’s history with photos and text.

“We expect continued stable growth for the next 10 to 15 years,” said Michael Werner, president/CEO of Globe Union Group.
