Leadership Changes At Moen, Blanco America And Jacuzzi Brands
Blanco America announced a six-month transition plan that will culminate in the retirement of current president Chuck Burhans in October. The 35-year plumbing industry veteran has headed the company since 1996. Upon completion of the transition, Burhans will remain on Blanco’s global advisory board, according to Achim Schreiber, CEO Kitchen Technology, Blanco Germany. Jacuzzi Brands Corp. appointed Thomas D. Koos president and chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors effective April 2, 2007. He joins the company following more than 20 years in general management and senior finance, marketing and strategy/business development assignments. Since 2004, he has been corporate officer and group vice president/president, consumer products worldwide, for Black & Decker Corp. Before that, he spent seven years with Newell Rubbermaid Corp.
Koos succeeds Al Marini, who will now focus on the commercial water management platform at Rexnord Corp., which includes the existing Zurn Industries business. Marini also will remain a member of the company’s board of directors.
