Detroit-based Legend Valve has hired Robert Vick as vice president/business development. Vick joined Stockham Valves and Fittings to sell valves and fittings right out of undergraduate school. While with the company, he relocated multiple times, living in Kansas City, New York City, Chicago and Pittsburgh. In 1985 he returned to Stockham's Birmingham, AL, headquarters as vice president/sales and marketing, a position he held until 1991.

He joined NIBCO Inc. as vice president of sales and marketing for its Commercial/Industrial Division in 1991 and remained with the company until 2006.

During his career he has been president of the American Pipe Fitting Association, served on the Board of Directors of the American Supply Association and as chairman of its Vendor Member Division, and he has been on the Executive Council of the Industrial Piping Division. He also has served on the PHCC's Educational Foundation Board of Governors and was a member of the Board of Governors of the Mechanical Contractors Association. In addition, he has been co-chairman of the PVF Advisory Committee of Affiliated Distributors and on the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association.
