Hughes Supply (Orlando, Fla.) hired Jonathan House as vice president of supply chain management. He will report to Neal Keating, chief operating officer. House will lead an overall assessment of Hughes' current logistics system and develop recommendations for continuous improvement. He will serve as a resource in identifying methods for enhancing customer service levels and reducing the cost structure. He will also spearhead efforts for improving processes and training, developing operations talent and driving superior performance in Hughes Supply's distribution network. Most recently House was vice president/distribution and logistics at Standard Register, an information solutions company. He also has military experience, having served as Brigade Commander to 4,500 soldiers and chief of logistics for the U.N. Peacekeeping Force in Israel and Egypt.
