Ferguson (Newport News, Va.) expanded its southeast region to include a majority of its Texas locations which will now be under the leadership of Jim Cross, vice president/regional manager for the Southeast region and a past recipient of Ferguson's Corporate Leadership Award. The region also includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi, and the territory of Puerto Rico.
Weiss
Cross, who has been with Ferguson since 1981, assumes the Texas role from Tom Adams, who accepted a position with Stock Building Supply, also owned by Wolseley plc. In other news, Ferguson appointed Jeff Weiss to facility manager of the McGregor, Texas, distribution center. Weiss joined the company in 1994 as a management trainee and most recently had been operations manager at the McGregor facility.
