REGIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

January 3, 2005
ASA's regional affiliates provide some terrific programming throughout the year. Here are just a few highlights of what's in store around the country in the next several months:

February 16-18 - SWA Profit Enhancement Institute, Atlanta GA

The SWA Profit Enhancement Institute II - Tools & Techniques for High Performance Management will be held in Atlanta, GA, over the dates of February 16-18, 2005. The program kicks off with Michael Marks doing a full day presentation on “High Performance Sales & Sales Management,” followed by a full day of “High Performance Financial Management” with Dr. Al Bates. This year, Dr. Kathryne Newton's presentation on “High Performance Personnel Management” has been expanded with more information, as well as with time for audience questions and interaction.

April 14 - MwDA Hosts “Essentials of Profitable PHCP Distribution” Seminar

The popular Education Foundation program, “Essentials” will again be held in the MwDA region by popular demand. The full day program, featuring Dr. Kathryne Newton of Purdue University, will be held at the Doubletree Suites Hotel in Downers Grove, near Chicago, IL. MwDA invites attendees from around the region and the country to participate. For more information, contact Chris Murin (cmurin@asa.net), or phone 312-464-0090.

April 5-6 - Houston & Dallas “Essentials of Profitable PHCP Distribution” Seminars

The former WDA territory will play host to a full-day “Essentials” seminar on April 5th in Houston and on April 6th in Dallas. Dr. Kathryne Newton of Purdue University will lead the classes, which have become the most popular seminar series in the association's history. Co-sponsored by ASA and the ASA Education Foundation. Contact Amy Black at 312-464-0090 or email ablack@asa.net for more information.

April 6-8 - ASA Spring Forum Frisco (North Dallas), Texas

This Forum is open to all members of ASA from around the country, and is being hosted by the Young Execs Division. The featured speaker will be Mitchell Harper, currently a Senior Lecturer at Texas A&M's Industrial Distribution program. The 2 1/2 day program will feature 3 educational sessions, plus one “Meet the Pros” gathering, complemented by golf and social opportunities. For more information, contact Amy Black at 312-464-0090 or ablack@asa.net.

June 13-14 - NCWA Regional Convention, Maumee Bay, Ohio

The 2005 NCWA Convention will feature a panel presentation by “Innovative Distributors.” Invitations have been issued to four dynamic distributors. Two are from the PHCP distribution industry, one from the hardware/tools segments, and the final one is a major regional electrical distributor. Last year's industry panel discussion was one of the highlights of the regional convention season.

The Convention will be held June 13-14 at the Maumee Bay Resort & Conference Center and once again will feature a table-top display program, reception, banquet and golf outing.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware of NCWA's new address: 3271 Springcrest Drive, Hamilton, OH 45011-8229; phone 513-895-0695; fax 513-895-1739. For more information, contact Dan Schlosser via phone or email at dan310@earthlink.net.
