ITC Says Yes To Chinese Fittings Probe
The decision was rendered on Dec. 16, 2002, in response to a complaint filed by Anvil International and Ward Manufacturing. In its preliminary report, the ITC found that the Chinese imports undersold domestic competitive products in all 60 instances of price comparison, with margins of underselling ranging from 34.2% to 53.4%.
The next phase of the investigation is a public hearing scheduled for Feb. 11 in Washington. Deadline for pre-hearing briefs is Feb. 5. For further information contact Valerie Newkirk, ITC Office of Investigation, 202-205-3190.
