Ferguson (Newport News, Va.) named Robert Warren “Robby” Adkins president and general manager of the Apex, N.C. Waterworks operation, and Trent Lee president and general manager of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Both Adkins and Lee joined Ferguson in 1995. Adkins was a trainee in Greenville, N.C. He has been a satellite manager since 2000 and at the Apex location since 2001.
Lee was a warehouse trainee in Lenexa, Kan., and then a counter trainee in Omaha/ Davenport, Neb. He became a satellite manager in 1999. In 2001, Lee was named interim president/ general manager, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and in 2002, he became operations manager.
In other news, Ralph Grosfeld was appointed president and general manager for Florence, S.C. He joined Ferguson in 1994 as a trainee in Asheville, N.C. After stints in inside and outside sales, he was named manager of the Boone, N.C., satellite in 1999.
