The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating presented the 75th Honorary Life Membership award to Martin Karrel of Island Distributors and a 50-Year Service award to James Stack, an outside sales representative for Wolseley Mechanical Group. Karrel joined the industry in 1972 and has worked with the same company since then. He served on the CIPH board from 1985-1996 and was president of the CIPH Atlantic from 1987-1988. He is a past recipient of the CIPH Outstanding Service award. Stack began his career in the plumbing and heating industry in 1951.
