The joint task force studying the possible creation of a new trade association concluded that the survey confirmed the members' support of both associations.

The joint task force studying the possible creation of a new trade association to combine the Northamerican Heating, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Wholesalers Association and the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Wholesalers International reviewed the results of a survey of their memberships seeking response to the task force's White Paper on the need for and feasibility of combining. The group concluded that the survey confirmed the members' support of both associations.

The task force created a number of project teams to address aspects of the proposed new association, including quantitative analysis, conventions and meetings, education offerings and governance.

"This is a process that will address many issues and involve input from many people in both associations," said NHRAW president Jim Truesdell and ARWI president Johnnie Drury in a joint statement. "Members of the joint task force will be examining the many facets of the two organizations and how they can best be combined to provide the best services and values to members."
