>> Thomas Register: Another sign of optimism came from an industrial purchasing barometer survey conducted by Thomas Register, which revealed only 3% of respondents are holding back on purchasing in the post-Sept. 11 period. Based on responses from more than 700 manufacturing, engineering, distribution and government buyers, the survey found 46% saying they were "Back to business as usual," while 45% indicated "Cautiously proceeding, buying only what I absolutely need." Another 4% said they were "Not letting anything get in my way ¿ stockpiling as a solution."
