Nashville, Tenn.-based Lochinvar Corp., which manufactures high-efficiency water heaters, boilers and hot water storage tanks, intends to relocate its world headquarters to a 75-acre site in Lebanon, Tenn.

The company currently operates out of a half-dozen offices throughout the mid-Tennessee area. The new headquarters will consolidate all the existing operations into one building.

The new 310,000-sq.-ft. building will include a manufacturing plant, an engineering development plant, administrative offices, a training facility and a distribution center.

Construction is to begin in May 2000 and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2001.

"Basically, we needed a place where we could expand but still stay in the proximity of Nashville to retain as many of our current employees as possible," company President Bill Vallett Jr. told The Nashville Tennessean newspaper.
