While volunteers are a much-needed resource for the HVACR industry, professional HVACR teachers are the key to recruiting and retaining new faces, according to Jim Woodruff, Education Committee chairman of the Northamerican Heating, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Wholesalers Association.

For this reason, NHRAW continues to support these professionals and help improve local programs through its Guest Educator program. Each year since 1986 the association has invited leading HVACR educators to its annual conference as guests to provide them the opportunity to interact with industry executives.

Educators are selected by NHRAW's Education Committee from among the nominations submitted by wholesaler and manufacturer members in the United States and Canada.

This year's invitees are: Robert Johnson of Emmett O'Brien Technical School, Ansonia, Conn.; Professor Arthur T. Miller of Community College of Allegheny County, Pittsburgh; Matt Gote of Stevens College of Technology, Lancaster, Pa.; Scott Nail of Upper Valley Joint Vocational School, Piqua, Ohio; and Mike Feutz of Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich. Program coordinator is Professor Richard Wirtz of Columbus State Community College, Columbus, Ohio.
