Ferguson Enterprises has expanded its presence in the Midwest through its recent acquisition of Donovan Industrial Supply Corp., St. Louis. Founded in 1895, Donovan is the oldest and one of the largest suppliers of pipe, valves and fittings in Missouri. The company will do business as Donovan, a Ferguson Subsidiary.

The former owners of Donovan, Charles Hiemenz III, William Hiemenz and Christopher Hiemenz, will remain with Ferguson. Charles Hiemenz will continue as president of the Donovan subsidiary.

"We've been serving customers in the St. Louis area for generations, and it is very exciting to be able to offer all of our customers the additional resources that Ferguson brings," Charles Hiemenz said in a press statement.

The acquisition marks Ferguson's entry into the St. Louis market, said Charlie Banks, president of Ferguson. "We are very pleased to be partnering with a company that holds such a long and distinguished record of service to both its customers and its community," he said.

In addition to the distribution of carbon, stainless steel, copper and plastic PVF materials, Donovan provides a range of other products and services, including design and assembly of automation, instrumentation and remote- operation valves; threading, grooving and cutting pipe; and a tooling center at its single location.

With this acquisition, Ferguson now has more than 450 locations in 36 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
