The Rheem Manufacturing Co. promoted Simon Parfitt to president of its Water Heating Division, based in Montgomery, AL. Parfitt, who has served the division as its vice president and controller since 1996, succeeds Scott D. Martin, who was named president/CEO of Rheem Manufacturing this past August. Before joining Rheem, Parfitt worked as global materials controller for worldwide manufacturing operations at Applied Materials, a supplier of products and related services for the semiconductor industry. He also spent 14 years with Schlumberger Limited, a global oilfield services company.
