Rheem Manufacturing Co. promoted Scott D. Martin to president and CEO, succeeding Gary Tapella, who said he will remain as chairman for an interim period. Martin recently relocated to Rheem's corporate headquarters to serve as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Prior to taking this position, Martin served 10 years at the company's Water Heater Division in Montgomery, Ala. He became division president in 2000, following leadership positions in marketing at the water heater operation.
